Andrew started his health career in a specialist biomechanics clinic in 2015. Working closely with several sports and paediatric podiatrists, chiropractors and osteopaths, he gained from their knowledge and experience and is trained in foot mobilisation, dry needling, massage therapy and shockwave therapy to name a few. As a keen athlete and active member of the community, Andrew is involved in everything from running and cycling to functional fitness and Tough Mudder and everything in between. As a result, Andrew values the importance of being able to enjoy what you love doing pain-free. Andrew believes movement is medicine which should be grounded in a solid foundation of functional foot strength-based training to be used for both prehab and rehab.
Andrew's special interests include musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries and biomechanics, where his focus is on optimising function, injury prevention (prehab) and rehabilitation of the lower limbs and feet in children and adults. These interests are reflected in his research where he worked closely with Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists and Sports Scientists. He studied the effects of fatigue on foot and lower limb function during repetitive loading activities such as running.
Andrew has experience in biomechanical, musculoskeletal, surgical, high-risk and general foot care, both locally and abroad. He is also trained in the use of Orthema Digital Technology and Swift Microwave Therapy. Andrew thrives on challenging podiatry issues and is serious about feet and the lower limb. He is passionate about treating the cause of your pain; not just the symptoms.
Andrew is now consulting in BOSIC every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
