Nicholas Gala is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with the Dietetics Association Australia, and a qualified Sport Scientist. He is a graduate from the University of Wollongong and has aspiration to become a leading public figure in his field of work. Since graduating, he has gained experience in helping clients make conscious, smart food choices to improve their health and well being. He has a deep understanding of the importance of nourishing the body with the right nutrients to excel, not only within sport and fitness, but all areas of life.
Nicholas believes that in conjunction with exercise, nutrition and healthy food behaviours are the foundations of a healthy, balanced lifestyle. He specialises in working with busy professionals to improve their understanding of how to optimise nourishment and body function in order to work optimally and prevent or improve chronic disease. Utilising the most up to date evidence-based guidelines, Nicholas works closely with his clients to provide individualised nutritional support and behavioural strategies that are realistic for their busy work life.
As a former athlete that was forced to hang up his rugby boots due to injury, Nicholas has refocused his passion for sport to not only helping athletes and the “corporate athlete” achieve peak performance on the field, but also optimizing recovery during those frustrating times of injury, stress and post-operative. Through his experience as an athlete playing a range of sports, he is able to effectively relate with clients and provide individualised, sport-specific nutritional guidance.
