About Me

Jerome graduated from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, in 1993 and has been working in private practice ever since. After a year in a larger teaching clinic, he moved to Cape Town where he joined a niche multi-disciplinary sports practice, working alongside other physios, exercise physiologists, podiatrists, dietitians and psychologists. The knowledge and experience he gained in this environment shaped his interest in a collaborative team approach to injury management, which he still believes is paramount to optimal patient care.

A few years later, Jerome started his own clinic in a private hospital in Cape Town and later opened two more clinics within prominent sports clubs. While in South Africa, Jerome worked with a number of elite professional sports teams and clubs, including Transvaal Rugby Lions, Johannesburg Spartans Basketball team, Cape Town Spurs F.C, Camps Bay F.C, Hamilton Rugby and Willagers Rugby, winning premierships with all of them.

Jerome and his wife Jessica, a personal trainer, immigrated to Australia in 2001 and shortly after, he took over a small practice in The Big Bear Medical Centre in Neutral Bay. Within 3 years, the clinic outgrew the space in the medical centre and moved to what is now “Cremorne Physio”. More recently Jerome expanded once again to the Northern Beaches and successfully runs “Physio for Life-DeeWhy”, located inside Fitness First.

Jerome’s passion lies in the treatment and management of complex biomechanical injuries. He has completed a number of postgraduate training courses over the years and his vast knowledge and experience puts him in an ideal position to help you get back to doing what you love. Jerome also understands people, he works with each individual and tailors each treatment program to the individual goals and needs of whoever he is working with. He is also very passionate about providing the highest level of customer service and demands the same of all his staff.

Jerome and Jessica have 4 sons who are all sports mad. When he is not in the clinic, Jerome can usually be found coaching their cricket teams, assisting with their AFL or just enjoying an active family life, whether it’s swimming at his local Bondi Beach, out cycling or in the gym.
